The Big Green Market will be in Parliament Street with a marquee in Sampson square. The market will feature artists who create objects from recycled items, stallholders who specialise in ethically traded clothing and accessories, yummy organic foods as well as delicious fair trade cappucinos. Harrogate based The Good Earth Company will be launching their new jewellery range which is hand made in Wales using biscuit tins and tea caddies find their stall in the marquee plus you can help too....
...by bringing your unwanted bra's, shoes and mobile phones to our recycling points in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance and variety club.
York's recycling team is joining forces with The Big Green Market and has a stall at the event with York Rotters (composting guru's!) offering advice and information on recycling and waste over the three days.
Parents and carers will be able to get information about real nappies in the marquee on Saturday at a Nappochino event between 10am and 4pm. Maria Knight, a real nappy expert will be on hand to give advice about real nappies from 10.30am - 11.30am, while visitors enjoy their complimentary cup of coffee and will be offering a 10 per cent discount on orders made on the day, if you would like to book a place please contact recycling.team@york.gov.uk or call York Contact Centre on (01904) 551551.
